Kalathos Beach is one of the longest and calmest beaches on Rhodes. It stretches for about 4 km along the eponymous tourist resort of Kalathos and its length allows visitors to find quiet and empty spots even during the peak summer season.

The busiest part of the beach is located in front of the local hotel complex. Tourists can find beach bars and snack bars, sanitary facilities and beautiful wooden sunbeds with bamboo umbrellas. Towards the edges, the beach is then left more natural.

The surface of the beach is mainly a mixture of sand and small pebbles, with more pebbles towards the sea. The water here is sparkling clean and the sea is usually calm. The shallow parts are particularly popular among families with small children.

Just about 4 km to the south is the popular holiday resort of Lindos with its pleasant sandy beach of Vlicha. This area also includes smaller, but all the more interesting beaches of Lindos (Megali Paralia), Pallas or the truly beautiful St. Paul's Bay.
