Kétó

In Greek mythology, Keto is the goddess of the seas. She was the daughter of Pontus (god of the deep sea) and Gaia (goddess of the earth).

Keto personified all the horrors and terrors of the sea and its depths. She looked like this description, and was therefore old and ugly. She married her brother Phorcys (the guardian of the sea and keeper of all sea monsters).

Together they had several offspring, namely: three Graia (Enyó, Pefrédó and Deinó), three Gorgons (Sthenó, Euryale and Medusa), the dragon Ládón (the stoic guardian of the golden apples in the garden of the Hesperides), the nymph Thoósa (mother of the Cyclops Polyphemus) and the sea monster Skylla.
