Éós

In Greek mythology, Éós is the goddess of the morning reds (hence dawn), who is the daughter of the titan Thea and the titan Hyperion. Her siblings are named Helios (the sun god) and Selene (the moon goddess).

Éós had many lovers. With Astarius she gave birth to the "Winds" (Zeyforos, Boreás and Notos). Their other children are Éósforos (the morning star), Hesperos (the evening star) and Astaria (the goddess of innocence and purity).

She was also the mistress of Ares (god of war). For this, Aphrodite cursed her by constantly falling in love with mortals (Orion, Cleitus, Cephalus, Tithonus). With Tithonos she had sons Emathion and Memnon. With Cephalus she had a son, Phaethon.
