There are many sand and pebble beaches on the island underlining its beauty. We can find also natural beaches, that have not been intervened by humans, often hidden behind rock cliffs or accessible just by boat.

Agriculture is an important sector of the economy of Santorini, above all the viniculture. The grapes that ripen here are very tasty, despite the quite low rainfalls. It is because of the mountain dew, that the porous volcanic soil can absorb and store very well and also because of the nutrient rich volcanic ash covering the island. Except wine, there are tomatoes, figs, zucchinis, eggplants, leeks, pistachios or very sweet watermelons grown on Santorini as well.
