Ladikou Beach - Rhodes island

Ladikou

The smaller, sandy beach of Ladikou is located in a beautiful bay on the east coast of Rhodes, about 20 km south of the capital city. Ladikou is a very popular beach, but is also constantly crowded during the main summer season.

Ladikou Beach (or Ladiko) is a smaller beach located about 2 km south of the popular tourist resort of Faliraki. The surface of the beach is covered with fine, golden sand, continuing further along the seabed. However, in some places of the beach and the sea there are pieces of rocks protruding, so visitors should be cautious.

Thanks to the surrounding rocks, the beach is protected from the weather, the sea is beautifully clean and the beach has been awarded the Blue Flag. The trees and bushes growing on the walls of the bay give the sea an unusual greenish colour.

Ladikou is one of the organised beaches, with sunbeds and umbrellas, showers and several traditional tavernas and snack stalls. Recently, sun loungers have also been spread over the surrounding rocks, where tourists can enjoy more privacy in the shade of the trees. In general, Ladiko Beach is very popular, so in the main tourist season it is often difficult to find an empty sun lounger.

Right in the next bay is another beautiful beach on Rhodes, which even bears the name of the famous American actor. Anthony Quinn Beach is especially famous for its beautiful scenery and crystal clear water and is therefore particularly popular with lovers of underwater life.
