Apollodorus

Apollodorus was a Greek philosopher who lived in the 2nd century BC. In Athens, he led the Epicurean school of philosophy called the Garden, and is therefore sometimes referred to as Képotyrannos ("ruler of the Garden").

Under his leadership, the school flourished and was highly respected. Among the pupils of Apollodorus was Zeno of Sidon, who eventually became head of the Epicurean school himself.

Apollodorus was to write more than 400 books (according to Diogenes Laertius). Unfortunately, only fragments of them and their titles have survived.
