Morpheus

In Greek mythology, Morpheus is the god of dreams. He was the son of the god of sleep, Hypnos, and his wife, Pasithea. Other sources state that his mother was the goddess of the night Nyx. His brothers are named Phobetor (or Ikelos) and Phantasos.

After Hypnos puts a man to sleep, the brothers Morpheus (who could take the form of any man), Phobetor (appearing in animal form) or Phantasos (appearing as phantasmal inanimate objects) begin to appear in his dreams.
